VARIGOTTI, FINALE LIGURE and SURROUNDINGS
While the main appeal of the area is related to seaside tourism, this is only one of a variety of activities that can fill the days of those who choose a vacation in Borgo Isasco. Getting bored here is really impossible, for fans of outdoor sports, but also for those, less daring, who love to discover and visit fascinating villages such as Varigotti, Finalborgo, Verezzi or Noli.
The Finale area is an area inextricably linked to nature in all its forms and activities related to it: the sea,the mountains, the beach, the rocks, the air. That is why for fans of hiking, climbing, mountain biking or paragliding Finale is an ideal destination that stays in the heart. The outdoor capital of the world, the Finale area offers an incredible variety of scenery and routes to indulge in your favorite sport, and precisely the Manie Plateau, of which Isasco is a part, is one of the cornerstones.
BEACHES
A long shoreline dotted with bathing establishments, beach clubs, a promenade lined with palm trees, Finalmarina is definitely the liveliest and most modern part as far as the coastline is concerned.
For a slower pace better choose Varigotti, a village steeped in charm, alternating between its many equipped beaches and numerous free beaches. The small Saracen village offers a blue sea with crystal-clear water, which together with the old fishermen's houses overlooking the beach create a unique romantic atmosphere.
Just outside the Saracen village, in the direction of Noli, we find Baia dei Saraceni and Malpasso, two beaches definitely worth spending a day at. Numerous water sports can be practiced, such as snorkeling, sup, kayaking, sailing,
and windsurfing.
TREKKING
Borgo Isasco's magnificent location makes it not only ideal for those seeking the sea and the beach, but also for those who love trekking and hiking. The area is dotted with paths overhanging the sea or immersed in the woods. From leisurely walks to more challenging hikes, it is possible to explore the trails to discover wonderful nature, even if only to walk down to the sea by taking the Balcony on the Sea path, which in 25 to 30 minutes will take you to the village of Varigotti.
Just between Varigotti and Noli we find the Pilgrim's Path, which, with its breathtaking views, is considered by many to be one of the most evocative on the Riviera di Ponente. The Finalese is a land to be discovered, and the Manie Plateau, now an agricultural area of great viticultural value, is characterized by the presence of numerous caves that tell of its prehistoric past. The presence of the many karst caves (the best known the Arma delle Fate and the Grotta dell'Arma right on the Manie Plateau) has made the Finale area one of the main reference areas of international prehistoric archaeology regarding human history. The many artifacts found are currently on display in the Finale Archaeological Museum in Finalborgo.
MOUNTAIN BIKE
Finale ligure has in recent years become one of the most sought-after destinations in the international mountain biking scene. It is a true paradise thanks to a variety of trails with few equals in the world, a mild climate with year-round riding opportunities, and breathtaking views along the trails. Finale has more than 130 trails dedicated to mountain biking, and many of them are located right near Borgo Isasco on the Manie Plateau. Here many trails have featured in the stages of the Enduro World Series, which has been held in Finale every year since 2013, and also here we find the 24H of Finale loop.
CLIMBING
Climbing in Finale Ligure is world famous, the crags are endless and unique. In Finale Ligure you can find grades of difficulty from the easiest to the most challenging, worthy of the best climbers. Some well-known crags can also be found near us, on the Manie Plateau, climbing sectors mostly arise near archaeological sites. We find the Museum of Man crag, Monolocale, Mammoth crag, Mesa Verde and Gazelle.
VILLAGES
Varigotti, a wonderful Saracen village, with its narrow streets and charming little squares, enchants at first encounter.
A distinctive feature of Varigotti are the bright colors of the plaster of its houses facing directly onto the beach; it is said that they were once used to allow fishermen to recognize their homes when they returned from the sea. Undoubtedly this is one of the most enchanting stretches of coastline on the Riviera di Ponente, and the Baia dei Saraceni is one of the widest and most striking free beaches in Liguria, surrounded by the high cliffs and wild nature.

Finalborgo, one of the "most beautiful villages in Italy," is a jewel just a stone's throw from the sea that enchants with its
old-world atmosphere. Enclosed within well-preserved medieval walls, interspersed with semicircular towers and interrupted only by the entrance gates, Finalborgo has in recent years become the beating heart of Finalborgo's outdoor movement. Teeming with bars, restaurants, artisan stores and specialized stores with the best outdoor brands in Finalborgo there is an ever-living, young and international atmosphere.
Noli is a typical seaside village whose historic center, enclosed in medieval walls, tells of its past as a strong and proud Fifth Maritime Republic. The beautiful Towers, the Castle overlooking the town, the Cathedral and all the palaces and monuments of great artistic and historical value go hand in hand with the charm of the fishermen and their gozzi, who every morning stand near the beaches with the excellent freshly caught fish.
Verezzi, a balcony over the sea and the wonder of the Ligurian coast, is a village consisting of four hamlets, connected
by mule tracks called creuze, built with cobblestone paving and stone steps. Walking through the carruggi, suggestive glimpses of narrow passages, ancient gates, wash-houses, archivolts, porticoes, corners rich in history and beauty
where time seems to stand still.
